Fantasy Super Rugby Week 2 Roundup @Sportsdeck_AU

So week 2 is in the books. Pretty low scoring round with only a handful of managers scoring more than 500, and most under the 400 mark. Still, there were some stand out performances and takeaways:

Playing the match-ups is as risky as ever – you can pick the teams – Jags / Crusaders / Lions – that might be decent favourites, but trying to nail a player for one week is hard.

Form can be short-lived – take a look at the at home Stormers, who started the week as the biggest betting favourite, and whilst they covered the spread, only scoring 13 points wasn’t really a book for fantasy managers. Only 3 players across both teams got more than 20 points ……

Then you’ve got the performances from nowhere, I mean is anyone picked that Highlanders vs Sharks results, then please let us know and kudos.

However, this week is all about the price movements. Players prices will move once 3 games are played, so below we look at the form players to ship in, and those dogs to ship out so they don’t cost you a boat load:

Ship them in:

Even with medicore performances these players will spike in value this week. But you’ve got to like the Jags at home against the Reds.

Danger players:

You’re probably sage with Laumape, but for the rest of these guys, baring a 100+ point performance, they’ve going to tank. Swap them out now.

Bargain basement:

Here’s there real bargains, less than $100k, but averaging around 30 or above. Lolesio looks like the real deal, and probably the lowest risk of these guy.

Also, one last VERY IMPORTANT POINT TO NOTE. As @RealFpl pointed out, this year @Sportsdeck_AU have ditched a number of points categories, specifically lineout points, turnover points and scrum points. What that means is that it’s going to be MUCH harder for forwards to score, and realistically few will regularly get over 20 pts. That puts quite a few high priced forwards at risk, so you might want to look at swapping some out. See below:

Outside of Naisarani, these guys will most likely take a hit in value post week 3. Fainga’as scored in consecutive weeks, but is only averaging 11 pts per game.
