Fantasy Super Rugby Week 9: Don’t Touch, Pause, Engage.

As ever, keep your eyes on the casualty ward and on the #casualtyward hashtag on twitter for the lastest.

not a disaster if you can’t fill your bench. At a cost of 20 points per transfer out, the dude on your bench will need to score 40 points …. and how often does that happen. So don’t use transfers for the sake of using transfers, if you’ve got a good 15 out, and a sketchy bench, that’s ok. Focus on that starting 15, captain, and making sure you’re ok for the net couple of weeks.

Teams on a bye: The Tahs, Sunwolves & Hurricanes (Which really BURNS)

SELL IZZY FOLAU and free up the cash.

The cheapest option in terms of getting more players in and keeping the cost of bring them in seems to be to sell an expensive player or 2 and then buy a few cheap ones as you are only docked for the players you sell. In other words the first player you sell is free and the 2 players you sell will cost you -20 points. The only thing to be weary of by doing this if you want to bring that expensive player back into your side down the line it might cost you a lot of points to do so.

Buy number 1: For a second week in row is Sevu Reece from the Crusaders, He dominated last week and should do well again The Highlanders tomorrow.

Buy number 2: Solomon Alaimalo as he’s pretty affordable and has some pretty decent fixtures. The chiefs are looking too and against The Blues it could be a very open game.

Buy number 3: Reece Hodge starts full back against the struggling Stormers this weekend.

This week there are tons of players being rested too which has really hurt my team in rugby mag. Check out the starting line-ups

Prop Kitsoff and Tupou bother start this week so I’d start them both. Harry Johnson-Holmes is on bye and Coenie being rested is really annoying.

Hookers: It a hard week again as no-one stands out apart from Marx in my opnion. A.Rangi is injured so the best options are probably are the Brumbies hooker Folau Fainga’a or Montoya from The Jags on the bench.

Locks, Flank & Number 8: Brodie Retallick is back and Ardon is listed starting at Lock this week which means you can play him for more points at 8 or flank in Mag. Pari-Pari is back and Orie is always a safe bet if you dont fancy The Chiefs. Matt Phillips is injured so I am going to need to make a change here….

Scrumhalf: Will Genia or Tate Dermott this week.

Flyhalf: Ideally Richie Mo-unga, Reece Hodge or Damian McKensie to start so I think you have to have 1 or both of these guys. Otere Black and Quade Cooper again are both nice options, Otere being the cheaper of the 2 if you are strapped for cash.

Center, Wing and Full back: Sevu Reece, Reece Hodge or Solomon Alaimalo because they have great fixtures this week. They all make loads of meters, score tries so make sure you get as many of them as you can. Beware The Crusaders are on a bye next week. .
